Compass in gimbals, with brass bowl and compass cards. This compass is said to have been the property of Sir Issac Newton. The bowl is inscribed with: 'Benj. Ayres fecit Amsterm' and the card is marked with 'J M Kleman fecit Amsterm'. Close up of top.
