Caption:
The astronauts are practising their lunar surface activities. Armstrong (front) is adjusting a passive seismometer and Aldrin is laying out the Laser Ranging Experiment. Apollo 11, the first Moon landing mission, was launched on 16th July 1969 and Armstrong and Aldrin became the first and second men to walk on the moon on 20th July 1969. The third member of Apollo 11's crew was Michael Collins, who remained in lunar orbit while Armstrong and Aldrin were on the surface.
