Aromatherapy is an holistic medicine used as both a preventative measure to maintain well-being and as an active treatment during illness. Essential oils (highly concentrated aromatic extracts) which are distilled from a variety of natural materials including leaves, flowers fruit and wood are used in a number of ways including massage, baths and inhalation, to balance, harmonise and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.
