Skylab 2 astronaut Charles Conrad trims the hair of Paul Weitz on board the Skylab space station. Skylab, launched on 14th May 1973, carried experiments to study the Sun, Earth and the impact of life in orbit on the human body. It was visited by three 3-man crews between May 1973 and February 1974, the last of which set a new space endurance record of 84 days. The first crew, astronauts Conrad, Joseph Kerwin and Weitz, were launched on 25th May 1973 for a 28-day mission to the space station.
